The Central View Boutique Hotel

I left this stay completely shaken. I can't believe that at a place of this standing, a guest could be stolen from by a staff member. My wedding ring, worth 600 euros, was taken. I stayed for one night, on May 31st, 2025, and was due to leave on June 1st. That morning, I put the ring on the bedside table where it was plainly visible. I can still picture looking at it before leaving and thinking, “Don’t forget your ring.” In the rush, I left at 7:06 a.m. without it. At 7:53 a.m., I realized and called the hotel to say I was turning back to collect the ring I had left in the room. They told me no ring had been found and confidently said nobody had entered the room since I left. I asked to see the surveillance footage immediately. It showed a staff member entering the room barely 10 minutes after I had left. When I pointed out the contradiction, I was told this person “could never have” stolen it. My religious beliefs teach me to assume the best about people, whatever the situation. But this no longer feels like just a suspicion. It feels clearly like theft and a betrayal of trust. What was taken meant far more than a piece of jewelry. I’m still in shock.

The staff were warm and attentive, and everything went smoothly throughout the stay. Great service and care with the little details made it a really enjoyable visit. Highly recommend.

Shops and restaurants are close by, and breakfast was good, though getting coffee involved a long wait. The room was clean, just not the cleanest, and they provided complimentary water and a bathroom kit. The parking garage entrance is tucked away and very steep. Still, it was a nice stay.

Street noise was the one drawback for me, since the hotel isn't soundproof. The location is convenient, the room was clean, and the staff were very polite. Breakfast was especially good, with a wide choice of sweet and savory food.
