Downtown Apartments

Downtown Suites was a wonderful stay, and I’d recommend it if you’re not looking for the Ramadas and Marriotts. We stayed in April 2025. The location is fantastic, right in the city center and within walking distance of Republic square. The room and toilet were neat, everything looked new and was well laid out, and the staff were helpful and courteous. They even took the time to explain routes to attractions and how to get there, despite some language difficulty. Five stars to the staff. The hotel setup is unusual. I think it occupies just one floor of a commercial and residential building, with perhaps 10-15 rooms. Finding the entrance can be difficult because there’s no sign. I’d read earlier reviews and was prepared, so I found it easily. Once inside, though, you arrive in an empty space :-) There’s no restaurant on site, so no hotel breakfast. But there are 3-4 coffee and bake shops right outside, plus a supermarket and a couple of Lebanese and other restaurants in the adjacent building. India Palace restaurant was just 2 minutes away, so we ate most of our meals there.

The location is right in the center and super convenient, though a bit hard to find. We had a clean one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, bathroom, and laundry. There was a separate bedroom and a large pull-out sofa in the living room, and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioners in both rooms worked very well. Someone was always at the front desk, 24/7, and everyone was helpful and spoke Russian and English well. Happy we stayed here!

Everything is basically around you, since this is one of the best central locations. The suites are on floor 10 in the Plaza building. The rooms were very clean and organized, and the staff were wonderful and friendly. The front desk people were really nice and professional. It’s one of the best hotel suites I’ve ever experienced, and I deeply recommend staying at downtown suites.

We came from the US with my family and loved the hotel. It was brand new and very clean, with professional service. The location was amazing, right in the middle of the city. We visit Armenia every year and will probably stay here from now on. We used to stay in AirBnb homes, but it’s nice having hotel service.
