Hotel Olympia Garden

The price was excellent for this kind of hotel. It looked very clean, and the staff were nice, though I didn’t eat there much. The rooms were clean and adequate. There’s a supermarket close by, which was handy, and the main road is nearby too, so it gets busy. The location is lovely, but there’s a loud nightclub down in the gorge by the river.

I paid 29,000AMD for a room that looked nothing like the photos on the booking site, and I think that’s fraudulent. The front desk didn’t care when I asked and said they couldn’t change rooms or do anything. The room’s lights were very dim, the bed was shaky, and the door was cracked. There was no Wi-Fi, no elevator, and no lights on the stairs. For that price, you can find a better hotel in the city. Don’t trust the website photos. I felt like I’d gone back to the last century. Stay away.

We appreciated how generous the staff were, and they spoke some English, which helped. The chef at breakfast was kind, made a great meal, and looked after us, with coffee included. The views were very good, especially with the garden and outdoor pool. Our rooms were spacious and adequate, and the showers were clean and good. Towels and sheets were changed every day. I love this hotel.

The room had a beautiful view, and the location was both convenient and quiet. We arrived at night each time, and there were always people waiting for us and ready to help.
