Bungalows Buena Vista

The location and views are great, and the staff sounded friendly on the phone, but our stay fell short in a lot of ways. The photos make it look like you're in a forest, but the property is on a very busy street, and the noise from the road below was constant. We booked a bungalow advertised for 6, but it was much too cramped for that. Avoid it for six: even with fewer of us, we were on top of each other and couldn't fully unpack. The mattresses were poor quality. The master bed had a deep dent on one side, and the two mattresses stored under the beds for my kids were only 10cm thick with no cushioning. The TVs were tiny, and the one in the master bedroom didn't work; the service boy couldn't fix it. The pool wasn't heated as advertised. We were told the heating had "just" broken and wouldn't be fixed for at least two days. Cleanliness and connectivity were poor too. The bungalow had dust all over the floor and hadn't been cleaned properly. WiFi was choppy, unavailable in the bedrooms, and unreliable even in the living room. We called ahead and were assured everything was written down, but staff weren't expecting us at check-in, and they didn't provide the gluten-free breakfast option in time as promised. It would have been better to buy something ourselves, since they didn't even give us fruit. Breakfast was poor in quality, variety, and quantity: we got four croissants, four pieces of toast, and bread that was a day old, plus cheap peach spread, despite being in the middle of Patagonia. It wasn't what other reviews had shown. I wouldn't pay more than USD 150 a night. Before our trip, we tried to add one night and were quoted USD 512. Management seems out of touch. At the same time of year, we stayed in far better places in the area for less. Look around, and don't be fooled by the pictures or the friendly staff over the phone.
