Patagonia Hotel

The staff were responsive and tried to help, and breakfast was decent. The rooms were reasonably clean, though the building shows its age. It's a 15-minute walk to the city center. Sleep was impossible because the air conditioning made a loud buzzing sound every few minutes, even when switched off. During two nights I was moved through three rooms. The first two had unbearable buzzing; the third was better, but still disruptive. After a technician from the hotel came by, the problem got worse. I recorded it all on video. As I was leaving for another hotel, a guest arrived at reception with the same complaint, which made me question the staff's claim that no other guests had this problem. I was refunded for the nights I didn't stay, but not the first night. In one room, an electronic lock malfunction also left me locked inside until someone let me out from the outside.

The loudest place I've ever stayed. There was noise all night, doors slamming, air conditioning, people talking, water running. So many different sounds.

The room was comfortable and the location excellent. Breakfast was okay, and parking was fine, though if the lot is full you can park for free on the street. I do have a serious concern about pool safety. Twice I was pulled into a powerful outlet pipe in the pool wall. The first time it caught my swim shorts; the second, another outlet caught my back and left bruises. I'm fine, but a small child could be badly hurt. These powerful outlet holes are banned in Europe and North America because of injuries. The pool is nice, just stay away from the walls.

Dear talia, The place is a bit dated, but the rooms are huge, spotlessly clean, and right on the water facing the lake. WiFi and hot water pressure were excellent, parking is right out front, and you can't beat the location, just a few blocks from the center. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and all the staff gave excellent service. The hotel doesn't run the ground floor restaurant, km uno, but guests get a 10% discount. It must be one of the best in town: modern, amazing food, and a lovely lakeside lawn with picnic tables. The price was incredibly low too. Probably the best value stay of my month in argentina.
