Andrea's great energy and the unbeatable views left us speechless. The place sits right on the shore of Lake Gutierrez, in a beautiful bay that’s perfect for relaxing or fishing. We’ll definitely be back.

Andrea, the owner, was always glad to answer our questions and made sure we had what we needed. The setting is lovely for unwinding and enjoying some hiking trails, with lush vegetation along the shores of Lake Gutierrez and a lovely dock for watching the sunset.

We found the place gorgeous and really well located, whether you want to relax on the beach or just unwind. Andrea's service was impeccable, and the facilities were clean, beautifully kept, and well-equipped. I highly recommend it.

This was my second stay at Los Castaños, and I’ll be back again. It’s in a great spot near Cerro Catedral, Playa Muñoz, and Cascada de Los Duendes (Waterfall of the Goblins). There’s a fully equipped barbecue area with a grill that fits more than 10 people. Andrea is always helpful when we have questions. The resort also has access to Lake Gutierrez, a nice little beach with lounge chairs and kayaks, and a spectacular dock.
