We arrived at 6.45pm with our booking paid in advance and found no way to check in. The reception desk was empty and seemed abandoned, with no staff around. For an hour we called different numbers and tried the intercom, without getting through. Even a resident in the building tried to help. The confirmation only said to show up and present ID at reception, with no further instructions. We were left stressed, walking around the streets of BA at night with our luggage to find another hotel. If you're arriving in Buenos Aires and need a safe, welcoming arrival, avoid this place. The ‘hotel’ still isn't responding to our refund requests.

We booked through Booking several months ahead. A few weeks before we were due to travel, the hotel began emailing to demand cash payment only. Then, two days before the booking, they sent a WhatsApp message saying they were fully booked and that we had to cancel the reservation ourselves. Booking and the hotel went back and forth with us for a while before the reservation was cancelled. The hotel managers never admitted the problem was their fault. Avoid.

A little dated, but very clean and comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful, accommodating and pleasant. The rooms are practical, especially the kitchenette.

The location was amazing, with plenty of pubs and shops nearby. You can almost see the recoleta necropolis from the room. Buses run often in the area, the Metro lines aren't far, and there's a Día supermercado around the corner plus two kioscos less than a 2-minute walk away. The apartment was very clean apart from a few exceptions. The beds were comfortable enough, though they were two twin beds pushed together instead of one queen-sized bed.

I stayed here in 2009 and remember the fantastic service and staff, as well as the great location. Looking forward to staying again on my next visit to BA.
