I can't recommend this place. The rooms are small, and the bathroom has very old, broken fixtures, with some parts stuck together, like the bathtub. There's mold in the grout between the tiles. You have to call reception each time you want to adjust or turn off the air conditioning, since they control it from there. The Wi-Fi barely works, connecting for a few minutes before cutting out again. There's no cleaning service on Sundays.

They always treat me very well, and the service is excellent. Booking takes just one call and it's very affordable. If the room is available and they don't need to wait for another room to be vacated, they usually let you in as soon as you arrive. Most places make you wait until 2 PM to check in.

I've stayed here several times and we've had a great experience each time. The staff are attentive, breakfast is good, and the location is excellent, just half a block from the subway stop. There's a private parking lot right next door if you're driving. Nearby, there's a plaza across from the Faculty of Medicine with a food court offering lots of options, plus all sorts of shops. Highly recommended.

The location is handy, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, and the shower had strong pressure and properly hot water. Breakfast was very basic, just two pastries and a cup of tea each. The rest of the place felt neglected and decades old. The walls were stained, the furniture and towels were old, and the mattress was completely worn out. There was only one outlet for charging phones, in the bathroom. You had to ask reception to switch on the air conditioning, they chose the temperature, and then turned it off after a while. There wasn't even a Do Not Disturb sign, so housekeeping might knock when you wanted to sleep in. The reception furniture looked yellowed and straight out of the early 1980s. The front desk staff were mostly friendly. Still, on Sunday morning I saw an elderly woman who had trouble walking ask if she and her son could wait in reception until their room was ready. The employee said no, which struck me as a terrible attitude. For what they offer, the price is extremely high. It shouldn't cost more than $15 a night. I felt like Jack Torrance at the Overlook Hotel, except this place is old and completely unmaintained. It was as if the Colonia Express had gone through a black hole in the Río de la Plata and dropped us into an 80s hotel. I don't understand the owner. Is a fresh coat of paint and decent beds really too much to ask? It's the bare minimum. People who stay once don't come back, which seems pretty obvious to me.
