The rooms were spacious, clean, and very nice, with a good-sized balcony. The cleaners came each day to swap the towels and empty the bin, and the small rooftop pool was a pleasant place to relax when it was warm. The surprise at check-in was a real hassle. Staff asked for the city tax, which I knew about and was happy to pay, but they also wanted an Expedia admin fee. I had booked through Agoda, and no such fee had been mentioned before we arrived. I paid it, then contacted Agoda. They confirmed it wasn't a valid charge and refunded me. I don't think it was a scam; my guess is the staff were trying to pass on the $10-per-night finders fee they owe the booking platform. If this happens, it may be easiest to explain that you won't pay a fee the platform didn't charge. No lasting loss since I got the money back, but being presented with an unexpected charge on arrival was a big inconvenience.

It felt like home here, though this isn't a place for royal treatment. The neighborhood felt safe, and most things you need are within walking distance. For the more interesting parts of BA, you'll want to take a cab. The rooms and bathroom were clean and comfortable. There's a kitchenette, table, couch, beds, a tub, and a bidet. Nothing luxurious, but the beds were comfortable too. Staff were helpful. The concierge is mainly there for security rather than service, though he does what he can. The front desk isn't staffed around the clock, mostly just during working hours, but they do respond to emergencies. My cousin's electronic key stopped working at 2 a.m., and they sorted it out. I'd recommend staying here on that basis.

The rooms are amazing and suitable for non-smokers. There's also a great BBQ area and a swimming pool up on the rooftop.

The apartments are lovely, and the people renting them are very nice. The price is very good too.
