Sucre Suites

After seven nights here, I won't be coming back. The mattress was old and had springs poking out along the sides, and my back hurt every morning. I also asked about the laundry service they were supposed to have, but it took hours to get a reply, so I went somewhere else. When I needed to add one night, they refused my US dollar bills, saying the $20 was wrinkled and the $100 was old, even though both were in perfect condition. I hope you choose somewhere else.

We stayed in the Elegance Plus Suite for 10 days, three of us together, and really enjoyed it. Sucre Suites will be our choice if we travel to Argentina again. The apartment was clean, the staff were kind and helpful, and the location was great. Check-in and checkout were easy, and we got to meet the owner, who was very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend.

I work remotely and found this an affordable, clean, friendly place, one of Belgrano's few gems. It's right at the entrance to Buenos Aires’ own china town, and seems especially well suited to business travelers and digital nomads. I'd recommend it.

My room's AC stopped working in the middle of summer, so I can't sleep. The room also smells like fresh paint, and the place has a cigarette smell when you enter. There's no one attending the property, and if you arrive after 8:30pm you have to walk a block to get your keys. I don't understand the 5-star rating on Google.
