Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires

I spent 8 nights at the Buenos Aires Four Seasons Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the stay made my life feel heavenly. Renan Astolpho and Martin da Costa, along with the front desk team and management, were generous and friendly when they handled my needs and concerns. My room was beautiful and quiet, the bed was comfortable, and housekeeping was efficient every day. I went for a swim in the stunning outdoor pool daily. The staff remembered my name, brought a towel for the lounge, and offered me a glass of water. I also ate at the hotel each night, choosing between Elena, Nuestro Secreto, and Pony Line. The tenderloin steaks at Elena and Nuestro Secreto were huge, tender, and delicious, and I enjoyed the sandwiches at Pony Line. The TV was a nice extra: many channels could be switched to English, though I watched local ones too, including C5N, 13, and America2. I was fascinated by Mirtha LeGrand’s Saturday evening program. Breakfast had loads of choices, including great gluten-free and lactose-free options, and Pony Line Bar's cocktails were excellent. The team there really knew their drinks. My husband and I had a beautiful stay at the Four Seasons Buenos Aires. Our room was gorgeous, had everything we needed, and looked out over the spectacular pool. The staff were friendly and accommodating the whole time. We can't wait to return!

The location is fantastic, and the food was good, though the pasta portion was a bit small. But the service at lunch at the Secret was slow and forgetful. We ordered white wine, and after checking with three staff members, it still never came. It wasn't on the bill either. We ordered two steaks, one rare and one medium, plus pasta and fish. Both steaks arrived without anyone knowing which was which, so we had to cut into them and swap plates. Dessert took over 20 minutes. The coconut flan had no coconut in it, though the server confirmed that it was coconut flan. This wasn't Four Seasons service, which is what you pay for. It used to be better over the years.

We've stayed at the Four Seasons in Buenos Aires 12 times in recent years. The rooms are great, the location is superb, and restaurant and reception service have been really good. But during our last two stays, in December 2025 and January 2026, service at the pool got much worse. Waiters walk past looking down or away. They give you menus, then don't return to take an order, so you have to chase them just to order anything. That's very unusual for a hotel in this category and price range. On earlier visits, waiters sometimes brought fruit, water, or other thoughtful little touches we expected from the Four Seasons. Now there's just a cooler with a carton of water.
