Magnolia Hotel Boutique

The staff were so welcoming and polite, and breakfast was very nice. The hotel itself is cute and sits in a pleasant neighborhood. Some room details need work: the fan combined with the light is too noisy, and the shower door isn’t practical.

We landed early in the morning and were greeted with fresh coffee and delicious croissants. The staff stayed kind and attentive throughout the days that followed. Breakfast had lots of options and was excellent, and the neighborhood made a great base for exploring Buenos Aires. It’s a lovely boutique hotel in a grand historic house, with a beautiful inner courtyard in Palermo.

The bed was super comfortable, and the staff were friendly and very attentive. I loved relaxing on the rooftop with a glass of wine in the late afternoon or evening. Such a lovely little gem, and the breakfast is delicious.

The biggest issue for us was one young woman on staff. She seemed to take a real dislike to us, perhaps after we told her that her replies felt incoherent and unprofessional. After that, she was passive aggressive whenever we dealt with her, and for that reason alone we wouldn’t recommend the hotel. The room also had unreliable wifi and a bathtub shower that leaked onto the floor. Its screen made getting in and out awkward. We reported the leak and were promised action, but nothing changed over our five nights, and nobody followed up about the leak or wifi. The hotel was comfortable in some ways, but these were serious flaws.
