Novotel Buenos Aires

Fernando was incredibly understanding when I arrived early after spending the night of February 19 at the airport. A general strike in Argentina had cancelled all flights, and I was told it could last at least 24 hours, so I booked a room at Novotel Buenos Aires that morning. He let me check in early, which made a huge difference after such a long, stressful night. The location is excellent and the price was very good for what I got. I recommend joining their membership for early check-in and late check-out. I'd definitely stay again.

The shower was the one real problem. Its pressure and temperature kept changing, and when the water got boiling hot, adding cold water didn't let me adjust it properly. That made showering uncomfortable. Otherwise, I had a positive stay. The staff were welcoming and efficient, and the atmosphere felt comfortable and practical for a city visit. My room was clean, organized, and functional, a good place to unwind after a long day. The hotel is good value overall.

The location is great, and the staff were polite throughout. But the property needs a lot of renovation, beyond just new carpet. The walls, bathrooms, and furniture all need attention. I had to change rooms because the first one smelled of cigarettes. In the second room, there was black mold on the wall between the shower and bedroom.

We returned to this hotel between trips to and from El Calafate, El Chalten, and Patagonia. Its central location made it easy to walk to the Oblisque, May Plaza, and other tourist areas. There are theaters, shops, and markets nearby, including Mercado San Telmo, where you can find food and touristy items. The rooms were comfortable and convenient.
