Palermo Living Unique Rooms

I had one of my most comfortable stays here. This is an amazing little hostel, though it’s more like a boutique hotel. It’s hard to find because there’s no sign. The main nightlife square is a bit far to walk home from, but there are other places to hang out nearby.

The neighborhood is lively, full of shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and more. The location is okay, though it takes a 15 minute walk to reach the nearest subway station. The welcome hall-living room has free water, coffee, tea, and muffins. We had the first-floor room on the left. There was a random noise near the window that went on for hours. It sounded like the air conditioning, but it continued even when the air-con was off. The place is a house being used as a hotel, so expect creaky wooden floors and very thin doors with no soundproofing and weak-sounding keyholes. The main entrance is metal and glass, and I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to break in. It was generally clean, but with everything made of 80s wood, there’s only so much cleaning you can do. I’d tell anyone allergic to dust to avoid this accommodation. Staff were generally courteous, though their availability on WhatsApp, the only way to contact them, was on and off. There’s no staff presence 24 hours a day.
