Recoleta is a great base, and the hotel feels brand new. The pool is pretty, clean, and private, though it's on the small side. It could use some chairs on the room balconies, too. The rooms are compact but very clean, with lovely minimalist furniture. We managed comfortably as a couple with lots of bags. The bed and linens were great, and while the shower is tight, it works and the water pressure is excellent. Staff were helpful, though sometimes a little curt. They gave us a free noon checkout instead of the usual 11am. For working remotely, standard rooms don't have a proper desk, but the counter nook with a stool and the lounge chair with a side table were surprisingly useful. The 12th-floor lounge was even better for longer stretches, with a big table and strong Wi-Fi. One tip: booking a last-minute night online at 30% off came out almost the same as paying their late checkout rate at 5pm, which is half the walk-in rate.

Keep this in mind before choosing the hotel. Despite the high price, it feels like a budget place. There isn't room service, and the shower is not regular sized. If you're overweight, you simply can't fit. There's no real lobby either, so if you call a cab at reception, you'll be standing while you wait. Not one chair for guests. Breakfast isn't a buffet, it's a la carte with very few options and poor quality. Google calls this a four-star hotel. No way.

We could walk to nearly all the city's main attractions, and even some farther away if we had a bit of energy. The hotel itself was clean, new, and in a really good location. From arrival, the service was great, especially Saira (I hope I spelled that right 😅), who was warm, friendly, and always ready to help. I'd made a special room request, and everything was just as agreed when we got there. 10/10! A couple of things could be better: the shower enclosure is quite small, there are two municipal trash bins almost right outside the entrance, and the outdoor pool could be heated to make it more enjoyable.

The balcony views were a highlight, and the room was extremely clean. Pablo at the front desk was amazing!!!! ADA next door gives you 10% off. The neighborhood felt super safe for walking at night, with lots of restaurants nearby, and the location made it easy to walk to places. Honestly, the hotel was amazing from the staff to the views. I'd stay here again.

Pablo and the other reception staff were genuinely friendly. I liked the beautiful design, the coffee machine, and the little balcony, and the hotel is in a lovely, safe area. The bathroom had a bit of mould, and there isn't a proper lobby.
