We arrived in town without a place to stay, checked Booking, and went straight to Hostal Luna Vallista. A man was there looking after the place for someone else, but he didn't work there and couldn't tell us anything. When we decided to stay, he wanted to charge 6,000 pesos, about 26 reais at the time, for the bed linen. What accommodation charges extra for sheets? We left, searched Booking again, and found Hostal del Suri instead. Everything there was wonderful, especially how the staff welcomed us. Highly recommended.

The location is very convenient, just half a block from the main square. It's a house with a central courtyard that's been covered over, which means the rooms get no natural light. Breakfast was very meager, and parking costs extra. A triple room is almost $50 a night.

Monica's warm welcome, the spacious room, and the lovely, very clean bathroom made our stay a pleasure. Breakfast was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy. It's also close to the main square. Places like this are such a joy to find on a trip.

It's a great deal, even though breakfast and shampoo aren't included. The price is good, and the location is excellent, just half a block from the main square.
