The location made it easy to get to both town and the bodegas, and there’s complimentary self parking. Everyone at the hotel was extremely nice and welcoming. We loved our spacious, clean room and the very comfortable bed. We tried the complimentary wine tasting at 6:30 on our first day, then stayed for dinner. After a week in Mendoza, I still hadn’t had better fish than the trout that night. It was unbelievable! The complimentary breakfast was delicious with lots of choices, though service ran a bit slowly, so plan for that. My dulce de leche pancakes never arrived on day one, but I got to try them the next day and they were as rich and yummy as I’d hoped. The buffet labels weren’t very clear, so you often had to guess what things were. That would make it hard to choose if you have dietary restrictions. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

Don’t miss the daily wine tasting at 6:30 pm, and make sure you try the restaurant. The empanada was the best I had on my trip, the onion soup was hearty, and the steak was delicious. Breakfast was another highlight, with fresh squeezed juice, fruit, and eggs and toast made to order. I’m especially grateful to the kind morning team, who made me an empanada for breakfast when I had to leave at 9 am for my flight home. This is a lovely boutique resort with a spacious, clean room and direct pool access from the patio. All the staff were so nice, spoke good English, and did their best to help. They always had a bright smile and made me feel welcome. I’m really glad I stayed here.

Thanks to Lares de Chacras for a good night’s sleep and such a convenient spot, within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and other places around town. Just three minutes away on foot is CASA CHACRAS, where you can find LUPA’s wine. The pink house left us in awe: it had the best wine and best wine tasting experience in all Mendoza, with a luxurious feel that still made us feel at home.

My partner and I loved this beautiful boutique hotel. The service made us feel relaxed and welcome, and the staff were so kind and accommodating, always willing to go out of their way for us. I hope we can come back one day!
