Complejo Tajamar

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and lovely, and we were looked after really well. It’s an easy spot to unwind, close to downtown, the hot springs, and the beach. Highly recommend it.

Agustina welcomed us and was really kind and attentive. Our cabin was clean and roomy, and everything in it worked well. The grounds are spacious, with a lovely big pool, though a few areas around the property and pool could use some upkeep. On the rainy day we arrived, the entrance and the areas beside the parking were muddy; a bit of compacting and some small stones might help. The complex is pleasant and about 2 km from Colón’s center, with almost all the way on paved roads. We had a great stay and will come back next time we’re in Colón.

It’s a nice place, and everything worked and suited what I needed. I know people’s experiences and usual standards can differ, even with some of the negative reviews. The price is the sticking point for me. I booked through Despegar with points and got a discount, but the usual rate for a two-person loft is close to $100 USD, which feels too high and not worth it. At full price, I would have looked for somewhere else that better matched the cost.

Fuimos a fines del año pasado. No me gustó nada. El complejo es lindo pero le falta muchísimo mantenimiento. Nuestra cabaña no era como se mostraba en las fotos, habían telarañas por todos lados y desde el ingreso al complejo había olor a orín de gato. Sumado a todo esto, nos cortaron la luz para arreglar un aire acondicionado y no tuvieron la amabilidad de avisarnos antes de hacerlo. No volvería ni lo recomendaría.
