The worst part for me was dealing with Santiago Perea, who I understood to be involved in or responsible for the place. His behavior felt manipulative, psychologically abusive, and coercive, and left me feeling unsafe and emotionally cornered. My experience at Link Hostel and a connected side property was disturbing and dangerous, far beyond bad service. I believe authorities should investigate the setup, and I urge local government or Booking.com to take this warning seriously, especially for tourists traveling alone. The side property was in horrible sanitary condition, with exposed wires, filthy rooms, no ventilation, and clear signs to me that it wasn't legally operating as a hostel. There was also a banner above the door that appeared to suggest an affiliation with a health or medical organization. I found it blatantly deceptive and felt it was meant to create false trust. This seemed like a public health risk, a legal gray area, and an emotional trap for vulnerable travelers. Avoid the place.

The locals we met were pretty nice, and the location was okay, but the rest was disappointing. My boyfriend booked through Booking.com, expecting a big bed for two, but our room had two bunks instead. On the way there, we saw a dead roach, and when we first walked in, a pest control worker was spraying a room, which immediately made me worry about bed bugs. There was hair on the bedsheets, and beneath them were stains that looked like blood. The bathroom across from room 11 was quite dirty. The outside sign looked good quality, at least.

We got a refund and left as quickly as we could. We'd booked an 8 bed dorm, but they had crammed in two extra bunks, making 12 beds. The room was incredibly hot and smelled really bad, and the beds and pillows were pretty disgusting. After years of travelling, this was one of the worst hostel rooms I've seen.

The staff were great, friendly, and helpful, and the place was clean enough. But it's so noisy. Quiet time starts at 2am, seriously? The doors don't fit properly and there's no insulation, so every sound carries. I'd only recommend it for people who can sleep through anything or are noisy themselves. There are also plenty of maintenance problems, like loose door handles.
