This is my first choice in El Calafate. It's a friendly family-run place, comfortable and clean, with views of the lake. Breakfast is a simple continental spread, but you can add eggs for a small fee, less than a dollar. The staff are super helpful. Nothing fancy, just a lovely stay.

A good base for seeing the area: the rooms are clean and cared for, and the location is excellent. Koi Mahik is peaceful, with quiet surroundings, and the host was really helpful. The staff were polite too.

We came back late from a tour and the husband and wife who run Koi Mahik warmly welcomed us and even made us a delicious pizza. They were attentive and happy to help with our requests throughout the stay, and the food was fantastic. It has a distinctive feel rather than the usual city hotel atmosphere, and the owners' heartfelt hospitality made this one of our best stays. We were delighted with the experience and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting comfort, warmth, and thoughtful service.

When we got back late from our tour, the family running Koi Mahik opened the kitchen and made us a delicious pizza. They were so willing to accommodate us, and the food had that lovely home-cooked quality. It may not feel like a big-city hotel, but its character and really good service made it one of the best places I've stayed. I was thoroughly impressed and would definitely recommend it for a comfortable, welcoming visit.
