The shower temperature was the one real letdown. It kept swinging between hot and cold. Still, if you're after a hostel, this would be a great choice. The beds are comfy, the atmosphere is good, and the staff are great and keen to help. It's kept very clean for a hostel. Upstairs there are two fairly large spaces for guests to prepare and store food. The restaurant food is tasty and comes in generous portions, and the place feels more like a restaurant with a hostel above it. It's probably one of the better hostels in town, though it isn't a five-star hotel, so some things are to be expected. It's near some trailheads, but at the far end of town, so you'll do quite a bit of walking up and down the main road.

I can't speak to the hotel side, but the menu is worth the price, with big portions. After a long walk back from Lago de los 3 or Laguna Torre, this place has the food, drinks, and cozy spot to relax that you need.

It's a popular hostel, so there's a lively atmosphere, though sharing with people on different schedules can get noisy. I stayed one night and had a clean room, a comfy bed, several charging points, and a good hot shower. Reception was professional and gave me all the useful information I needed.

We stopped in for lunch after our hike and stuck to the vegetarian options. It was good, and we liked the place enough to want to return for the other dishes. The staff were friendly and attentive. There's plenty of room inside, plus outdoor seating.

RESTAURANT ONLY, I have no idea what the hostel is like. This was a proper post-trek feast at a fair price, with huge portions. Just what you want after a grueling hike along the fitz roy or to Laguna Torres. Free wifi, too. My medium steak came out closer to medium well, ngl, but everything else was really good, especially the milanesa napolitana.
