The proprietor helped us arrange a cab to the Hosteria del Pilar trailhead. The two bathrooms were useful for several people, and the kitchen had a stove, plates, silverware, microwave and refrigerator. I liked the two-floor room. There was a little wear and tear, but it didn’t bother me, though upstairs was a bit creaky. I’d stay here again, but would also look at other options in town.

Manuel was a huge help, sharing current trail conditions and hiking tips over WhatsApp. The service was excellent, and the place is well located for the main trails and good restaurants. A really good accommodation option in El Chalten.

The comfort and location make this a great place to stay, close to the main attractions around town. I took off a star because parts of the complex could use renovation, including fresh paint and a few bathroom details.

The gardens are lovely for sitting with mate, Malbec, Patagonia IPA, hot chocolate and pastries, or some cold cuts, with a pretty view of the main avenue. The pink and cream cabins look gorgeous. The whole resort feels like a fairytale village, almost straight out of Disney, and it's the most beautiful one in El Chaltén.

The location made getting around easy: the entrance is on Av. San Martín, leading straight toward the park trails, with a kiosk and DistriSur nearby and Don Guerra just a block away. Wi-Fi worked very well too. Mara was so friendly and helpful, and left cookies, brownies, and apple crumble for me to come back to after trekking. The cabin had everything: a kitchen with a refrigerator, electric kettle, electric oven, microwave, toaster, and stovetop, plus a laundry room, toilet, and living/dining room downstairs. The bedroom and bathroom were upstairs. A perfect stay in a wonderful place. Visited in May 2017.
