We really liked our stay. The room was excellent and the service was super polite and friendly. Breakfast was a pretty complete buffet, and there’s parking right in front plus a patio chair overlooking the garden. It’s about 10 minutes from Tilcara and 2 minutes from the imaginary Tropic of Capricorn line.

The continental breakfast had a good range of options, and the YacorIte vineyard is nearby. The room itself was OK, though there was no hot water or hair-dryer. We didn’t have dinner.

The concierge made planning easy for both of us. I’m not into climbing or long hikes, and he suggested things that suited me, while putting together a great schedule for my boyfriend, who loves adventure. The animals wandering around the grounds were fun to see, and the pool setup was fantastic. We also loved the mountain views, and the rooms were really comfortable, especially the beds and hot showers. And the food was amazing, I’m still thinking about those dishes. Huacalera Hotel has become my favorite place for a relaxing, fun getaway, and I can’t wait to return.

We stayed at a different hotel each day, and this was the best value for the price. The staff were so friendly and helped us rent a car. Our room was spacious, warm, and very clean. I fell in love with their lamas ❤️❤️❤️❤️. We’ll definitely come again!

After a long day on the road, this was a lovely place to rest, away from the busy feel of larger towns like Purmamarca. The property is huge, with llamas on site, and there’s a nice collection of paintings. Our room was quiet, spacious, and comfortable. The staff were excellent, the Wi-Fi was strong, and the restaurant was decent. It’s also close enough to El Hornocal.
