The rooms get full sun at 6 a.m. because the curtains don’t block it, and the building carries sound so well that you can hear footsteps on the stairs from neighboring apartments. Otherwise, the apartments are very nice, clean, well equipped, and close to the beach.

The internet was awful, and as a tourist I felt the experience depended on how much money I had. I won’t be back. They advertise three-room apartments on the website, but on arrival give you a smaller one, then charge more if you want the apartment shown online. There are no ramps for disabled guests, so getting around with a wheelchair or stroller is difficult. These are things they should explain beforehand.

The beach is just two or three blocks away, and the owners were very friendly. My upstairs room had a balcony and was equipped with an electric kettle, microwave, mini-fridge with freezer, utensils, table, and even a clothesline. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. I’d heard people complain that the pool isn’t heated, but they told me it’s 29 degrees Celsius. It doesn’t feel hot, though it isn’t cold either, just a pleasant temperature. I also saw a complaint about Wi-Fi, but it worked well for me while I was working on my computer.

The shower pressure was the one good thing. They advertise Wi-Fi, but on arrival I was told the internet only reaches the door, so I couldn’t work on my computer. They blamed the internet company, but clearly there are no repeaters. The website shows three-room apartments with a grill, then they told me a grill would cost an extra 250,000 pesos. Changing the towels three times a week costs another 70,000 pesos. They have 19 apartments but don’t invest in them, and treat tourists like a number. I won’t be back.
