Acqua Hotel

I was in town for the 21k race, and the staff were really friendly. They served breakfast at 5:30 and let us stay a little later so we could freshen up after running. Breakfast was basic, with gluten-free options, and the croissants were delicious. For what I paid, I wasn’t expecting much, but the room was tiny, the beds weren’t comfortable, and street noise came through clearly. There was no desk, no hairdryer, only one mirror, and nowhere to set things in the bathroom.

We had a good stay and were treated kindly. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels, shampoo, and soap. The neighborhood is lovely, and it’s easy to walk to the beach or the bars and restaurants on Güemes Street. There’s no parking at the property, but several lots are nearby; we left the car on the street and felt it was safe. We got a discount for paying cash. One thing they could improve is the shower divider, since water splashes into the rest of the bathroom. We’d come back!

Breakfast was very basic, just toast and bad coffee. The room is cramped, and the bathroom is tiny and doesn’t have a bidet. There’s so little space that you have to open a suitcase on the bed, then close it again.

For the price, what they offer makes sense. Nicer hotels nearby are $195,000 a night, while this one is $70,000. The room was fine and had air conditioning, and breakfast was what I expected: coffee with milk, croissants, and toast. The humidity needs attention, though. By morning the bathroom smelled musty.
