Baloo Hotel

Breakfast is served until 10 am, with coffee, tea, yerba mate, and milk for hot drinks. There’s water and orange juice in pitchers, though the juice isn’t freshly squeezed. Food-wise, there are pastries, croissants, and toast, with butter, cream cheese, dulce de leche, or jam. The jam flavors change, and the two I tried were both delicious. My room had two single beds, each with its own bedside lamp, with a small nightstand between them. There was also a TV, a wardrobe with shelves and hangers, a safe, a small desk, and a bathroom. It was cleaned and tidied every day, which was great. The one small issue was a leaking bidet that we noticed on the first day. We told reception, and they said they’d take care of it. The location is central, so there’s some noise, but nothing too bad. It’s a few blocks from the beach, the shopping mall, and several bus stops, which is handy for getting around Mar del Plata. The daytime receptionist was very friendly and helpful, explained check-in step by step, and was available from the start if we needed anything. He even gave us the hotel’s contact information to keep on hand. I spent a few days here and honestly have no other complaints. A good hotel, and we’ll return.

They called me as we were leaving the restaurant and heading back up to the highway because my son had left his cell phone behind when the room was cleaned. They wanted to return it, which was a really thoughtful gesture. I’ve stayed here twice now, and the place and service are always a 10/10. As always, the service was excellent. I’ll be back. Baloo worked really well for my business trips in July and December 2025. When traveling for work, I want a good night’s sleep and easy access to the city and things to do, and it covered both. I was very satisfied with the hotel and my stay. The staff deserve a special mention for being so attentive to guests’ needs. I’ll definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Mar del Plata.

We always come back. It’s a very good hotel in a great location, with clean rooms, a generous and delicious breakfast, and friendly people throughout. Francisco and Gustavo were especially attentive.
