Gran Hotel Riazor

The location is the only redeeming feature. The room was acceptable for the price, but it had bugs, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the ceiling fan looked ready to fall if turned up high. They didn’t change the sheets or clean the bathroom, and there was no curtain. Service was terrible and the staff were in bad moods. They advertise full board, but the food was cold and tiny. Dinner was a small empanada and a small plate of cold chicken and potatoes. They’re quick to charge for drinks but take forever to bring the meager food. I do not recommend it and wouldn’t go back!

The hotel and its location were quite good, and two men, one waiter and one receptionist, were really kind and helpful. But the waitresses sometimes wouldn't serve my 3-year-old niece, so we had to share our dishes. Some were rude or didn't even say hello, which put us in a bad mood and nearly spoiled my vacation.

The dining room was filthy every time we went, and we even watched a cockroach crawl across a table. When we arrived, the bathroom had other people's hair all over it, and it was clearly dirty. The bathrooms were cleaned carelessly, the sheets weren't changed, and the window blind was broken. Then at checkout, they made us haul all our belongings down to the dining room and wait two and a half hours for the shuttle. The service was miserable throughout, with staff serving us reluctantly and sourly. The food was cold and awful, the portions tiny, and they wouldn't let us have seconds. We ate there only on the first day and had to eat out after that. Drinks were ridiculously expensive, and the place was badly organized. It was a disaster, the worst hotel I've stayed in. I'd never return. They should be ashamed to offer service like this.

The two male receptionists were the only friendly people there. The waitresses were awful and incredibly rude. On our first day, they wouldn't feed my one-year-old son, and we had to share a plate. We had to ask before they would bring him another one. They were stingy with the food, too. Breakfast was lukewarm coffee, two little croissants, and a cookie. The Wi-Fi never worked. They blamed heavy demand and said lots of people were connected, even though each floor had its own network. Everyone else was terrible. They really need to try harder.
