Botanica The House Experience

I loved my four-night stay at Botanica. A few reviews had made me wonder if the place might be a bit unprofessional, but everyone was fantastic. The staff were really helpful. They contacted me in advance to coordinate my arrival and helped arrange a taxi to Brazil afterward. The pool was lovely and very refreshing. I can highly recommend this place!

The room was wonderful, and the setting is beautiful. We missed our first night because our flight was delayed and the phone number I had for the hotel didn't work when we tried to warn them about arriving very late. They did make it up to us, and the whole thing made us appreciate La Botanica even more. I’d recommend staying here, but be sure to contact the hotel before travel day.

The common area is really lovely, and breakfast and service were great. They even arranged an airport pickup for us, which we hadn’t expected and which worked out well. Our room was clean, with a private bathroom and AC, though it wasn’t fancy. We walked into the town center for shopping and restaurants. We were there just one night, but would happily stay again. Communication was good, and so was the location and service.

I booked this through booking.com for part of my honeymoon, then realized 20 minutes later that it was in Argentina rather than Brazil. We’d already booked very early flights from the Brazilian side. The stay was still more than a week away, but they refused to refund me even though I cancelled as soon as I caught the mistake. Getting in touch was nearly impossible, replies took days, and all I got was the same generic message saying they don’t give refunds. It’s been a huge headache during honeymoon planning, and I lost money on a stay I never used. I rarely write reviews unless I want to spare someone else the stress, but I’m extremely disappointed with their customer service. If your plans might change at all, or you aren’t completely sure you can go, I wouldn’t book. They won’t return your money, whatever the circumstances. Some of the worst service I’ve experienced.
