Grande Hotel

The indoor pool was great for the kids to burn off energy after a long drive, and the breakfast was great too. Beds were comfortable, with good linens, and everything felt clean and high-end. There was plenty of hot water and good pressure. We paid about $75 US for the room. It's not the cheapest in town, but in my opinion the features, cleanliness, breakfast, and option to eat at the hotel restaurant make it well worth the money. Close to town and in a good area.

Avoid the restaurant. I waited an hour and forty minutes for a piece of meat, then left without any food arriving. If you're in Rio Grande, find somewhere else to eat.

I stayed one night after signing off an offshore platform, following 50 days on the job. I checked in during the evening and left early at 6 am on 14 July 2024. In the taxi I realized I'd left my mobile phone in the room. I contacted the hotel that same day, only five hours after checking out, but they said there was no phone. Google location still showed it in the room. It's a pity for a five-star hotel, and gives the impression that employees aren't returning things guests accidentally leave behind. A bad experience and bad reputation for future tourists and offshore oil workers.

I was there for more than 30 days because of work, and the employees gave me awesome hospitality and service. The room was nice and cleaned daily, while the restaurant and bar were perfect, with good food and drinks. A comfortable, excellent stay. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
