Check your final bill carefully! It clearly said that showing ID meant you wouldn't pay the extra 21% for your stay. I showed mine, but was charged anyway. I was in a rush and only noticed afterwards. When I complained, they said it was because I'd paid by card. Nobody had told me that, or I would have paid cash. Besides, they'd printed the bill before I said how I was going to pay, so the 21% had already been added. That's a lot of money. They didn't bother replying after I complained. It left me very disappointed with the stay, which is why I rated it this way. The restaurant staff were very nice, though, and the facilities were quite good.

The pool and restaurant both offer good views over the city, and the pool area borders the forest. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, with rooms set along a corridor, though it has a bit of a motel feel and lots of parking. You can use the well-equipped gym, which is mostly used by locals. Taxis into town are easy to get, but walking is pretty quick too. The rooms were clean.

The rooms were comfortable, quiet, and updated, and there was plenty of on-site parking. The pool area was nice, too. The restaurant food was tasty and reasonably priced, and breakfast was included and very satisfactory. Good value.

We had a nice view over town from the restaurant balcony, where you can watch the sunset. Snacks and drinks are available through the afternoon. It's a good spot to sit, as long as you're downwind of the smokers. The restaurant is better than most. Our room was pretty basic. The walls are thin, doors shut with a metallic bang, and motorcycles can be noisy, though the noise only happens now and then. There's ample secure parking, but the spaces are compact-car size. It's an easy one-mile walk to the museum and restaurant district, and about half a mile to the gondola for an eagle's eye view of the city.

The city views made this a nice place to stop for a night, and the grounds were kept in great shape. The restaurant food was very good and the staff were friendly. I took off stars because the bathrooms really need renovating.
