Hotel Resi San Bernardo

I complained about the mattress, but the owner insisted it was new. It was clearly thin and sagging, and of course it wasn’t replaced. That sums up the attitude. He was incredibly arrogant, as though the place were a 10 star hotel. There was a charge for hot water for the water heater, and during our four days they only gave the room one cursory cleaning. There were ants everywhere, the mattress was ancient and impossible to sleep on, the sheets were disgusting, and the bathroom was old and rusty. Breakfast was meager too. This was in March, when there were already few passengers, and I don’t even want to imagine peak season. It wasn’t even a zero star hotel. The following year we stayed at a hotel half a block away and had a great time, with no problems at all. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly, breakfast was amazing, and the room was clean with air conditioning and excellent mattresses. There was a refrigerator for drinks or food, and they lent us space and utensils. Hot water was free, and I paid the same as at that pigsty of a hostel. After reading the owner’s responses to passenger comments, I don’t need him to reply to mine. It’s clear he lies about everything. Regards.

For a two star hotel, it was much better than I expected. The location was excellent, the rooms were spotless, and the beds were really comfortable. Everyone was friendly and attentive. I’d definitely come back.

It was a spectacular stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and everything was so clean. This is the first hotel on the coast where I’ve opened a closet without finding a musty smell or a single spider. The rooms were spotless. Just keep in mind that it’s an older hotel, as the photos show. If you’re after luxury, this isn’t the place, but everything works very well.
