The place is beautiful, which makes the poor experience even more of a shame. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The issue seemed to be a lack of management and people overseeing service quality, rather than every staff member. It’s hard to say this when so many people’s livelihoods are involved, but someone needs to learn how tourists should be treated in La Rioja.

The food was really good, and the staff were very friendly. Still, the hotel is huge and not well maintained, and it felt almost empty while we were there. Maybe that was just a coincidence. For what it offers, I thought it was expensive.

Everything else was wonderful, and I agree with the positive reviews. A few things could be changed, though: the power went out during dinner, the shower had no handrails, and there were no phones or emergency lights in the rooms. No hairdryer either, but that’s a minor detail.

I was only passing through on a trip and stopped to sign the Route 40 memorial, so I didn’t stay there. The place itself was very beautiful.

The peaceful surroundings and those magical sunsets were a big part of how much we enjoyed this hotel. I was more than satisfied with the stay, and it turned out to be a lovely surprise. Carim, Nicolas, Anabella, and Pablo were outstanding, paying attention to every detail so we’d feel comfortable. Chef Martin Quiroga is incredibly talented, and the dishes were amazing. I’d highly recommend it.
