San Pedro Palace Hotel

Just average.

We could hear the nightclub across the street as if it were right in our room, with shouting and noise all night, so we slept very poorly. We’d been warned before booking and offered a room on the other side of the street, but it still wasn’t enough. We went on a weekend, and I’d choose a weekday if I returned, not Friday or Saturday. There’s no parking, either. Apart from those issues, it was a nice place, very clean, with good breakfast and excellent service.

The common areas and rooms were spotless, the staff very friendly and attentive, and breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety. The location was excellent. For me, the two drawbacks were the bowling alley at night and not being able to adjust the room heating to suit you.

We’ve been visiting San Pedro for years, but this was our first stay at this hotel. The staff were pleasant and very friendly, and their service was excellent. Breakfast was a good, varied continental spread. The room was clean, with spotless linens, nice furniture, and a king-size bed and mattress that really made a difference. My only downside was that there wasn’t secure parking. We’d gladly return, and I’d recommend it for a few days in this beautiful city.
