La Soñada

We were there January 2, 2015 to January 4, 2015. The place is beautiful, the staff were very good, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Still, the stained towels and dirty sheets were a real letdown. When we brought the sheets up, they said they’d changed them. It’s a shame these problems detract from such a lovely place. I hope they sort it out so I can stay there again.

The breakfast was excellent, and the place itself was very nice and sunny. We came December 20th to 21st for a birthday getaway, hoping to relax, but that didn’t happen. The pool was lovely to look at, though dirty from lack of maintenance. We booked a massage after being told a reservation was needed, then got pushed from after 2 PM to after 6 PM. They shouldn’t offer massages if they can’t provide them. Also, two of the bathroom’s three lights were burned out.

We had a really memorable time during Lollapalooza. In the "Chaná" room the jacuzzi worked, despite what I’d read elsewhere, and the room was comfortable and very nice. The service was warm and attentive. While eating and listening to music, we asked where it was coming from and found out that every Thursday, elderly people gather in a plaza less than 100 meters from the hotel to dance. We enjoyed that a lot. Breakfast was good, though the pool area felt a little neglected. Everything else was lovely. +10 papu

The place is lovely and tucked away, but the service was a disaster. My reservation wasn’t taken, the package I’d asked for was forgotten, and I got a different room from the one I booked. The promised jacuzzi didn’t work, it was a one-person tub for someone no taller than 1.50 meters, and there were ants on the bed. For our "dream night," dinner was takeaway and cost extra. We ordered "a portion of matambre a la pizza with Russian salad" but got slices of stuffed matambre. We were meant to choose wine or champagne, but got cheap white wine instead. Two beers with dinner became one can of Schneider. Breakfast was the only decent part, and I checked out early. They also promised a massage before 11:00 AM, but the masseuse showed up at 4:00 PM. Staying past 1:00 PM costs $590. DON'T GO. Luckily it closes on May 2nd.
