The breakfast had a generous mix of fruit, cereal, nuts, yogurt, made-to-order scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, pastries, and jam. We also liked the friendly, attentive staff, who spoke good English and gave us a WhatsApp number to reach them when needed. Reception could arrange taxis, including a driver who waited while we had lunch or visited vineyards. We practically had the place to ourselves, so I can only speak to that experience. Our room opened onto the well-kept garden through double doors, with a lake and distant mountains in view. There was plenty of wildlife to watch and shaded seating around the gardens. The room had two large double beds, comfortable mattresses and pillows, air conditioning, a safe, kettle, and fridge. Other nice touches included a free pool table at reception and an upstairs lounge with books. The outdoor pool was refreshing on a hot day, with water loungers in the shallow section. The spa has a jacuzzi and sauna for an extra charge, massages also cost extra, and there’s a very small gym. You’ll need a car or taxi, since it’s out in the countryside away from town. The hot shower water had a strong sulphur smell, like it came straight from a volcano. Dinner service starts at 8 pm, which is late if you eat early. The clay oven takes time to heat, so some dishes may be delayed if the restaurant hasn’t had it going already.

The restaurant was the one bright spot, with excellent food and efficient service. The rest was a letdown. The infrastructure is very poor, and the spa is a complete disaster, badly designed with no proper bathrooms or showers and a tiny jacuzzi. The staff do what they can, but clearly haven’t been trained. The rooms are nowhere near what I’d expect from a “new” hotel. I don’t recommend Casa Septem. There are much better hotels outside Greater Mendoza.

The Mendoza countryside made a lovely, peaceful and romantic setting. The staff were very attentive, and everything we needed for a nice stay was there.

The house itself was beautiful, spacious, and modern, and sharing it with friends could have made for a great stay. We enjoyed the idea of relaxing together in the living room, watching movies, and having wine nights. But the way the change was handled made the experience extremely disappointing. We had booked in September 2024 for a February 2025 trip with another couple. About two months before we arrived, the hotel told both couples it would be closed for part of our stay because of an event. They offered House by Casa Septem as a supposedly bigger and newer upgrade with a private pool, and said it would be a better fit for two couples. We agreed and were excited about it. On arrival day, they messaged to say the pool water was dirty and the pool couldn’t be used. Their suggestion was that we spend the first two nights at the hotel, then move to the house for the last two of our four-night stay. We declined because unpacking and repacking halfway through such a short trip made no sense. We stayed in the house, but the pool was never fixed and remained unusable throughout. Workers were outside for most of the stay, which they shouldn’t have scheduled while guests were there. The house was presented as private and intimate, but several people, including the hotel owner, regularly passed by. That took away the relaxed atmosphere we expected. Communication was poor, their proposed solution didn’t make sense, and it felt as if they didn’t care about the inconvenience. They should have cancelled our booking, taken responsibility, and helped us find somewhere else, even if it cost them. Instead they pushed a fix that made things worse. I wouldn’t recommend it. Lovely house, but the stay was handled terribly. Guests deserve better.

We had a comfortable, charming room with a very comfortable bed and good sheets. It was spacious, and the bathroom was lovely too. Robes were provided, along with shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and a vanity kit. The view was incredible: from the room’s balcony you could look straight at the Andes, with a lovely lake below. The shower never got hot while we were there. We asked staff for help, but they couldn’t fix it. Breakfast needs to be scheduled the day before and, if I remember correctly, starts at 8 am. That may be late if you have winery reservations. They can provide a simpler breakfast, but unfortunately it doesn’t include eggs.
