Leticia was so kind and friendly, and always available with recommendations or help if we needed anything. Cabañas Ave del Sur is in a quiet area near the city center, making it a handy base for exploring Ushuaia and getting to the bus station and port. Our cabaña was spacious, very clean, and well-equipped. We had a fantastic two-night stay and would highly recommend it.

The breakfast coffee was good, but the rest was just bread, including toast that had been sitting out for a while. The room was tiny, maybe 8 x 8, and I could barely get around the old bed. The place feels worn out, as if the owners are ready to retire and don’t care much about fixing things. I don’t understand the good reviews, though maybe the cabins out back are better. I’d stay somewhere else if you can, especially for more than one day.

We really enjoyed the lovely garden and our time in the Cabaña Martín Pescador. Leticia was an excellent host. I hope I get to return to Ushuaia and Cabañas Aves del Sur someday.

The rooms are actually little houses, in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The hosts are super friendly, and the atmosphere is laid back and relaxed.
