This was back in 2020, so I can't say whether the owners are still the same. The service was excellent, and I felt very well looked after. My little boy got sick after eating a churro on the beach, and they kept checking on him. We had full board. The rooms were modest, but we slept very well. At the time, our stay was six nights and seven days.
We paid before really seeing the hotel because there weren't many photos, and I regretted it. The place was dark and dirty, with terrible service. The towels were dingy, never white, and breakfast service was awful. There were exposed wires in the rooms, and a bucket beside the bed caught water from leaking pipes. There was a lot of dust under the bed, and the rooms looked like they hadn't been painted in years. The pool was filthy too. I had to use a bug zapper to get leaves and bugs out before we could even get in. They also wouldn't let us bring drinks or anything like that to the pool. I honestly don't know if the hotel is even licensed, given all the safety violations.
The location is excellent, and the hotel is comfortable and accessible. Susana, Jorge, and their family were all very friendly and welcoming.
I felt at home from the minute I arrived until I left. The owners are kind, helpful, and thoughtful about the details, and the service is fantastic. It's a truly high-quality hotel, and I highly recommend staying here if you're going to Carlos Paz.
The owners gave excellent service, and we had a wonderful stay. It's highly recommended, especially at such a great price!
