Breakfast was delicious and generous, especially the fruit and fruit salad options. I’d suggest going by car, since the hotel is a bit far from the city center. The room was spacious and had air conditioning, a great bed and a double balcony with a view of the surrounding scenery. A table and two chairs on the balcony would make it easier to enjoy that view, and blackout curtains would be useful for people who like a dark room. The pillows weren’t as good as the bed. The shower had good pressure, but in the morning the hot water could suddenly turn cold, and we had to wait for it to come back. When it was chilly out, you had to stand away from the shower or get cold. The bathroom also got quite wet after showering, something we’ve experienced at various hotels.

Tamara and Gonzalo looked after us impeccably. The hotel was well maintained, with clean, comfortable rooms and a privileged view of the mountains and valley. We watched beautiful sunsets there. It’s a perfect, peaceful place to spend a few days exploring mountain spots like the Mirador del Sol viewpoint, where there are artisans, and the confectionery shop with its spectacular viewpoint. We’ll be back!

We spent 10 wonderful days here with our daughter and husband, and I’d gladly return. The hotel is a little far from the center, but it’s a peaceful spot to enjoy the birds and the beautiful mountain view. We didn’t have a car, so we took the bus to the center or the flora and fauna reserve. At January prices, it cost 1300 pesos, and the schedule is on the “Merlino” website, which is the bus’s name. You can also ask the hotel to order a taxi. Tamara, Gonzalo and Malena were always attentive and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and varied, and the pool was heated. We even had aqua aerobics with a fantastic instructor. Highly recommend it.

The rooms are comfortable and very nice, with a great view. I’d have liked a mini-fridge in the room to keep water cold. Breakfast was fresh, complete and delicious, and you could choose whatever you wanted as many times as you liked. From the time we booked, the staff were friendly. When we arrived, they gave us a map and recommendations for things to do, which helped us find our bearings and choose what to see throughout our trip. We spent a few days here in Merlo and highly recommend it. We’ll be back! 🙌🏽
