La Barraca Hotel & Resort

The gray foxes in the park were a lovely sight, and the staff were fantastic. The hotel itself needs a lot of maintenance, though. Doors and windows didn’t work properly, the chairs and armchairs were very old, and the balconies and breakfast room windows were filthy. I had to switch rooms because the toilet didn’t work. On my first night, rain leaked through the ceiling above my bed.

The grounds and pool were beautiful, clean, and well cared for. It’s a good spot if you’re after peace and quiet away from everything, though being far from the center can be inconvenient if you don’t have your own transport. The reception, kitchen, and cleaning staff were always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was delicious and varied, and when I had to leave early, they prepared it ahead of the usual time after I let them know. A couple of practical issues: parking is limited to eight cars despite there being more rooms, and the entrance is very uneven, with a huge rock that can get in the way if you don’t park around it. Wi-Fi depends on where you are, since the hotel has different networks, and some are very slow, unreliable, or don’t work at all. Thanks for a lovely stay. Best regards!

We saw lots of foxes, and the staff refilled our thermos countless times with such a good attitude. The kitchen and cleaning staff were great, as were the two young men and the receptionist who looked after us so well. Breakfast was delicious and always on time, with food replenished every half hour. The hotel is beautiful, welcoming, and comfortable, surrounded by lush greenery. The pool, rooms, and bathrooms were spotless. There’s plenty to do too, with a pool table, foosball, board games, and ping pong. I’d gladly come back and recommend it to everyone I know.

We didn’t have a car, but the town center was about a 20-minute walk and the stream about 10 minutes away, so the location worked well for us. The stay was excellent, and the service was even better. The game room is a bit worn, and the pool table is somewhat broken and quite noisy. Breakfast isn’t anything special, but it does the job. I recommend the place.
