The friendliness and breakfast were both a 10. It has a real 1970s feel, and staying there was a great experience.

Everyone was so welcoming, and we had a great time. The garden and pool are lovely, and the location is great too. Thanks so much for helping make our vacation wonderful 💓💓 Hope we can come back!

The place itself is beautiful, the breakfast was amazing, and the beds were super comfortable. But our stay was a really unpleasant experience. We went through three rooms because of problems with the air conditioning. On a day when it was 39 degrees Celsius (102 degrees Fahrenheit), the air conditioning in our first room wasn't working. They said a technician was coming to install a "brand new air conditioner" and moved us to another room. It was a double, even though there were three of us, and one of us had been at the beach. When I complained, the owner shouted from the back, "But there are only two of you..." The "technician" only recharged the unit with refrigerant. When we said it still wasn't working, we were told, "We have to let the air conditioner break in." My mother became ill from the heat. We had spent an hour with it set to 16 degrees Celsius, as they had set it, and it still didn't work. The door in that room also wouldn't close, and when I told the owner, she brushed me off with, "You have to press the button." I already knew how the system worked after being moved around the inn, but that room's door was faulty. The shower curtain was torn too. The next room they moved us to also had broken air conditioning. They kept us in a double room, with three people, until 8 pm. That room's air conditioning worked. Then they moved us to an "apartment" made up of two separate rooms and one shared bathroom. Water leaked all over the bathroom, so we had to dry it with towels. There was an air conditioner only in the double room, not the other one. Both televisions were supposed to work with one remote, but it didn't work in one of the rooms. Around 6 pm on our third day, we got back from the beach to find there was no electricity. They had cut the power while changing the water pump on a Sunday. On the fourth day, we returned to find our room OPEN, door and all, because staff assumed the room next door had no water due to an "air bubble" in the pipes. They said they "needed" to turn on every tap in our room. The windows facing the street were open too, so anyone could have come in and taken something. They made it clear they were "not responsible for any missing belongings." I also found bugs in the bed, and bleach got splashed on my clothes while they were cleaning. I know technical problems with air conditioning can happen anywhere. What upset us most was that all three rooms had been neglected in some way, and the way they handled the problems and treated us was inappropriate. There was no compensation or special attention. In fact, they charged us $6000 for two coffees on the day of the power outage.
