Hotel Romadrid

We'd booked a tour and were meant to stay at Sun Beach, but apparently there were too many of us, so they put us here instead. The staff were helpful and the location was good. The facilities, though, were old and looked neglected in many places, including the game room. There was no TV remote, and Wi-Fi didn't reach our room. Breakfast was basic.

I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but everything turned out excellent. I booked a travel agency package that included the trip, hotel and breakfast. The room was comfortable, the pool was 10/10, and breakfast was simple but delicious. I'm leaving with a great impression and grateful for how helpful all the staff were.

The rooms are tiny, and the Wi-Fi they advertise didn't work in the rooms while we were there. We also had no hot water. The cable TV stopped working during a storm one night, and we went four days without it. We stayed seven days, but they changed the bed linen and towels only once. It was a terrible stay, and I absolutely don't recommend this place.

We paid for Sun Beach on 5th Avenue, but the owner said he'd "screwed up" and moved us here, saying he "preferred to give us something better." We arrived on January 3, 2026, and left on January 8, 2026. It didn't feel better. For a couple, the room should at least have had a double bed instead of two separate beds. The room was a suffocating 4x4 with no air. The wardrobe was dirty, the bedside lamp had a broken cord and didn't work, and the carpet was filthy and in terrible shape. The bathroom layout was awful, with no separation between the shower, toilet and bidet. There wasn't even a step between the bathroom and bedroom, so shower water soaked both. The room smelled musty, the hallways and facilities were ancient, the pool was badly neglected, and the lack of maintenance was obvious. You could hear everything from other rooms, so resting was impossible. They didn't help carry up towels or toilet paper, just threw them at me while my hands were full. We had to go downstairs to ask for the TV remote, which never arrived. Staff were average, but reception workers kept changing, and sometimes little girls were sitting there with nobody to leave the key with. There was no real security or willingness to help. At night the noise was unbearable, whether from poor soundproofing or a lack of control. The ceiling fan either didn't work properly or made a terrible noise without ventilating. For what it costs, I'd expect basic comfort, upkeep and service, and all were lacking. I wouldn't recommend it or return, especially since it wasn't even the hotel we'd paid for.
