The setting is beautiful, with gorgeous views, and the building and rooms have rustic charm. With basic upkeep and better customer service, it could be a great hotel. Sadly, several problems affected our stay. The pool was dirty, with what looked like algae floating in it. We first went in on a dark evening and only saw the mess clearly the next day. The deck had lots of rusty nails sticking out. Our 4-year-old was barefoot and nearly cut his foot before we noticed, so we didn't want to use the pool again. Please watch out for those nails, and for the loose rug on the bottom stairway. After a long drive, we arrived to find our reservation had been messed up. We were two couples traveling with kids and had requested two rooms, which had been understood and confirmed via WhatsApp. Instead, they put us all in one room with a queen bed and three singles. The receptionist said she hadn't made the reservation and couldn't fix it, so we had to wait for the owner. We spent an hour in the lobby before she arrived, then waited several more hours while she worked out where the second couple could stay. They spent the first night in a dingy, dark, dirty spare room on the bottom floor. Its stairway rug shifted underfoot, a serious slip and fall risk. The room had no Wi-Fi or cell signal, and its balcony door wouldn't open.

Sunset from the pool deck, sunrise from bed, and stars through the room's top window were some of the best parts. The lake views were beautiful, the rooms clean, and breakfast was complete, with healthy choices like fruit and freshly made eggs on request. There's an outdoor pool overlooking the lake, and both breakfast and dinner are served with a view. The team were very service-minded. Although the restaurant opened later, they let us buy a bottle of white wine and gave us a cooler so we could enjoy the sunset.

Anna was so kind to us, even refrigerating our beers, and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at her Hostel. Breakfast included perfectly cooked scrambled eggs. Thank you, Anna!

The common areas have incredible views, and the hotel itself was nice and clean. The staff, apart from the owner, were friendly. But the booking problems and the owner's behavior spoiled what could have been a very good stay. I wouldn't return or recommend it if you want peace and quiet or a dependable booking experience. I booked a particular room several months ahead for our anniversary, and even sent photos to confirm the kind of room I wanted. The owner confirmed it was reserved, but when we arrived we were given a completely different room, with no warning about any change or problem. It was in a worse location, had no lake view, was less modern, and was a lower category. When I complained, the owner's explanation later seemed hard to believe, since we saw other guests using the supposedly unavailable room during our stay. The whole booking process felt disorganized and dishonest. They promised a "discount" because of the room change, but the amount we paid was the regular price of that cheaper room, as I verified on Airbnb. So there was no actual discount. The towels weren't changed for the first few days. When I asked, I was told there was a sign in the room saying we had to leave the key at reception to request a room change. That should have been explained at check-in, rather than left for guests to figure out. I also had some uncomfortable interactions with the owner, who acted unprofessionally. I asked for bottled water because tap water isn't recommended, but she served me tap water and said the visible water jug was for personal use only. That's odd for a tourist establishment.

For what we paid, the place was far better than I expected. I stayed three nights and found the atmosphere very pleasant and tasteful. I think almost all the rooms have lake views. Breakfast and restaurant choices were good, and the service was incredibly friendly.
