A little rustic for some, but it has everything, from a washing machine and dishwasher to a blow dryer, and it's great value for money. A good base for short or longer hikes. Go for it.

The house worked well for our ten people and children, and the location was perfect for us. We'd stayed several years in a row, overlooking a whole list of shortcomings, and booked again nine months in advance. Then, shortly before our holiday, the landlord said we couldn't come because he'd found someone willing to pay more. It's a complete failure on a human level. We're very disappointed, and our children are very sad.
The river is less than 50 meters from the house, winding through the little valley. In July and August, it's ankle-deep in most places, great for kids to splash around in or fish. Look carefully and you'll spot plenty of animals. They even remind you to lock the door at night, or deer might wander into the hallway! The Erlaufboden holiday home feels like a hidden gem, and three families are having a perfect holiday together here. We've started calling it a charming Alpine chalet. You feel at home, get a warm welcome, and want for nothing. Though tucked in a small valley, it's still close enough to attractions for explorers of all ages. We've fallen in love with the place. May it keep enchanting holidaymakers for years to come.
The quiet location right at the entrance to the Ötschergräben gorges and the comfortable GEA beds were the only good points. We used the place last year as a home base for hiking the gorges and the surrounding area, but the house was in poor condition and poor value for money. There was mold in the first-floor bathroom, and showering flooded half the room because the screen was incomplete or broken. The terrace furniture was ready for the dump, with torn parasols, broken plastic chairs, and a rusty grill. An upturned Euro pallet served as a step between the terrace and lawn. The entrance area, or passageway to the garden, was cluttered with junk. The rest is best forgotten.
I paid in full after booking through a platform three months ahead. A week before I was due to arrive, the owner cancelled because he was also renting the place through another platform. Never again!!!
