A beautiful house with an amazing view, and a distinctly Austrian feel. It's close to Hallstatte and the ski station.

A one-of-a-kind spot, wonderfully peaceful.

There's plenty of sleeping space, and the house seems well suited to summer, though nights can be cold. The owner is making an effort, but heating an old village house isn't easy. There's no nearby market, so bring your shopping along.

2/10
I was really let down by how the owners handled our cancelled short break. The water damage cancellation came just four days beforehand, which was regrettable but understandable. What wasn't okay was getting only a one-line message and no apology. When I called to ask about it, they said they knew nothing about the water damage. It left me feeling like customers don't matter to them, and if you book, you can't count on your holiday actually going ahead.

A cozy home with a view of the lake and access to Hallstätter See. There's also a barbecue area.
