Ferienwohnungen Villa Salzweg

Our kids called it a thousand-star hotel, and we had a wonderful stay at Villa Salweg. The rooms were very clean and well furnished, with details that reflected Austria’s rich culture. The hosts’ information pack was comprehensive and helped us plan. The well-stocked amenities corner was handy, and the cats sometimes kept it company. The cats were a lovely touch, and I’d like to return someday.

We had a fantastic time with our six- and eight-year-old kids. The apartment was spacious and clean, and we especially appreciated the beautiful balcony. The location is great, close to the lakes, with panoramic scenery.

The mountain-view balcony was a lovely place to sit, and the beds were comfortable. We found the village pool especially nice, and entry is free. A bakery and restaurants are reachable with a short drive or a 10-minute walk, while the supermarket is about five minutes away by car. It also makes a great base for Hallstaat and the lakes. Inside, the apartment is nicely decorated and has everything we needed, including a dishwasher, washing machine, grill, full kitchen, elevator, umbrellas, and parking. We’d happily come back.

The resident cat was such a sweet part of the stay. It was friendly and adorable, and having it around made me feel at home. The villa is also well placed for trips to Hallstatt, which was easy to reach, then it was lovely to return to the quiet there at the end of the day. The property itself was spacious and comfortable, with tasteful decor and a lot of care in how it was kept. I found the design elegant and the whole place welcoming.
