Hotel Almrausch

The outdoor pool was perfectly warm, and the jacuzzi felt wonderful after a demanding hike or on a day spent relaxing. The hotel and our room were exceptionally clean, which stood out right away. We had a restful, rejuvenating holiday, and the spaghetti was excellent whenever dinner was available, though dinner isn’t served every day. The owner puts real effort into looking after guests and meeting their wishes, but once she went a bit too far. We talked it through calmly when we left, which is why I took off one star. We’ll definitely return.

We’ve only been here for two nights out of our planned five, but the hotel has already lived up to what we expected. The hostess is wonderfully welcoming and happy to answer questions. Breakfast is impeccable, and the three indoor saunas, outdoor jacuzzi, and relaxation room make it easy to unwind. Our deluxe double room is spacious and, like the rest of the hotel, tidy, clean, and well cared for.

We came across this hotel by chance while hiking and were struck by how warm and welcoming everyone was. The place is immaculate, and the heated infinity pool against the mountain scenery is a dream. "Sladi" is the star here, so warm and incredibly friendly. We were so impressed that we’ll book our next holiday here.

The breakfast had a good range of muesli, yogurt, cold cuts, vegetables, fresh fruit, different rolls, egg dishes, something sweet, plus several coffees and teas. My only small complaint was that there was no mineral water. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the Almrausch. Thanks so much to the whole Almrausch team! If you value warmth and friendliness, you’ll feel at home here. It was our first visit, and the owner gave us such a warm welcome. The rooms are a little dated, but they’re clean, and cleanliness is clearly a priority throughout the hotel. In winter the inviting sauna area was warm and fragrant, a lovely place to enjoy some peace and quiet, and the outdoor whirlpool was the cherry on top.
