The free, fast internet was a real plus, but the rest was disappointing. Rooms starting with 2 might be on the second floor or in the second basement, which makes the place feel like a spooky maze. Some rooms overlook a fairly pretty lake; others face a busy road or unpleasant shrubs around the building. The rooms seemed dingy and poorly maintained, though more or less clean. The lobby wasn't clean, either. Beds are extra narrow, and breakfast is poor, with artificial orange juice.

Waking up to the lake through the big bay windows was a lovely surprise. I had an impromptu girly sleepover with my daughter, who's nearly three, and she sang songs to her teddy :o) For the grown-up stuff, it was easy to find, and the room was big, clean, and tidy.

The restaurant by the lake served ribs, and the view over the water was lovely. There's a big area to unwind in nature, with sweet ducks around. I was there in 2014, and the breakfast was amazing, as was the atmosphere.

The quality of the hotel and rooms is very low. The bathroom is awful, the pipes don't work properly, and there's no water pressure. Breakfast is spartan. It feels like a place for workers, not tourists.
