Hotel Zur Schanz

The hotel staff were very helpful. I got stuck in Munich, and they cancelled my reservation at no cost. Really nice people. I hope to stay there next time.

The staff were kind, and all the facilities were neat and tidy. You can tell the crew takes good care of everything. From the outside the building looks antique, but inside it's modern, clean, and crisp. The breakfast seemed thoughtfully prepared, though the choices were a bit limited. It was one of my memorable experiences in Austria, and I hope to come back soon with my friends 🙂

The room was modern, clean, roomy and quiet, and we’d happily stay here again. We came with a toddler, who had play areas inside and a small playground downstairs. The spa was lovely too, and breakfast had a good range of fresh food, homemade juice and local cheese. The staff were warm and helpful. A couple of things to know: there’s no elevator, and the hotel is beside a fairly busy road. Most rooms seem to face away from it, opposite the river, and those rooms are pretty quiet. Breakfast is the only meal offered, though there are plenty of good restaurants a drive away.

We stopped here during a cycling trip across Europe. It was right by our route, though a little way from town. Our large room had a ski chalet feel and came with a flat-screen TV, hairdryer, shower gel and soap. The place was clean and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. They kindly let us keep our e-bikes in the garage. Breakfast offered a good variety, and the staff were professional.
