My family has spent winter holidays here for generations, starting with my grandmother. It has a very family-like atmosphere. The rooms are quaint but clean, and you can ask for morning rolls to go with the little kitchen in your room. For a proper Austrian winter experience, you can also arrange a carriage ride through the snowy scenery to a restaurant at a farm farther out. There are lots of animals for kids to see, along with the family's horses and a sweet dog. I'd recommend it.

A really lovely ride, with a friendly guide and quiet surroundings. We stopped at scenic spots for photos, and everyone was extremely friendly. Full marks.

We had a wonderful carriage ride in early summer. The driver was friendly and the journey was pleasant. We even got to pet the horses and were offered a small refreshment. Blankets were provided to keep us warm. 👍🏻

On May 29th, our whole family took the horse-drawn carriage to the Unterhofalm. It was simply beautiful, and everyone was incredibly friendly. Many thanks to our driver, Paul. We highly recommend the experience.

We loved the horse-drawn carriage ride. Michael organized it really well and was so kind to the children, and we also got to visit the horses in the stables with them every afternoon. The Rettenwender family were friendly and helpful, always giving us good tips. We were three families with six children altogether, staying at Hallmooshof over semester break. The apartments had everything we needed and were very clean, and the shared room was a great spot to spend evenings together. The house sits on a hill with a beautiful view of Filzmoos. We had a fantastic holiday, have already booked for next year, and highly recommend the carriage ride.
