The Super Summer Card made getting around the area so easy, with unlimited lift rides throughout our stay and simple access to the hiking trails, villages, and summer park activities. Poltehof is also close to the lifts, bike park, and Fiss itself. We had a wonderful few days here. The family are lovely and helpful, breakfast is amazing, and the hotel feels brand new, very clean, and equipped with everything we needed. There’s a large locked room for bikes, or ski gear in winter, plus a great spa and a self-service bar with board games for families. Kids also have a playroom and a little petting farm nearby that they can visit whenever they like, with a chance to ride the farm horses a couple of times each week. We couldn’t have asked for more on an active holiday. We hope to come back in both summer and winter.

The slopes are only about 200-300m away, with restaurants and bars nearby. They provided ski storage at no charge and a discount on the ski pass, and after skiing there are three different saunas to choose from. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the owners were very helpful. I’ll definitely stay at Poltefoh again next time. Many thanks to the Illmer family.

Fiss makes a nice base for all sorts of hikes, and we had a pleasant stay. The village does feel like it’s made up almost entirely of hotels, a bit like a Disneyland for spline tourists.

For 20 years we’ve been coming to Fiss and booking Poltehof. It feels like coming home every time. The staff are friendly, the rooms and apartments are comfortable, and the place is always clean and cosy. Breakfast is really good, and they’re used to having children, so it works perfectly for families. Fiss is a great ski area, and in my view it has the best ski school in Austria.

The apartment was clean, though a little dated, and the hotel has parking on site and a wellness area. You can walk to the Schonjochbahn and leave the car behind. A heated, ventilated locker for ski gear at the Schonjochbahn comes with the apartment, which is perfect.
